Advocating Collectively to Positively Impact
and Empower the Ghanaian Diaspora
About GHPAC
Established in 2019, Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective is a 501 (c) 4 nonpartisan, nonprofit social welfare advocacy collective dedicated to empowering Ghanaians in the Diaspora through civic and political action.
Commonly referred to as GHPAC or Ghana Diaspora PAC, the United States-based organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C. as well as conducts activities in Ghana. The organization has two additional arms: the Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee, a registered 527 committee, and the Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF) which is a tax-deductible, 501(c)3.
GHPAC was founded by Ghanaian American Capitol Hill alum, policy, legal, and business professionals with significant experience in the areas of policymaking and business as well as longstanding reach in the Ghanaian community.
Our Mission
Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective is a nonpartisan, nonprofit social welfare advocacy organization dedicated to working collectively as Ghanaians, people of Ghanaian descent and friends of Ghana to encourage civic engagement and advance policy through research, education, and community building.
Strategic Approach
Politics: The Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee’s goal is to increase Ghanaian American representation in politics, support candidates who prioritize the Ghanaian American community’s interests, and promote Ghanaian American participation in the political process.
Policy: GHPAC focuses on advocating for policies that impact Ghanaians’ lives. In the US, we influence immigration, job creation, small businesses, housing, education, and US-Africa relations. In Ghana, we focus on Diasporans, sustainable development, trade, equitable economic transformation, healthcare, and youth development.
Advocacy: The Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF) is a non-profit organization established to support the Ghanaian community. FECF provides grants for various educational and outreach programs, including voter education, youth empowerment, research, educational seminars and trade missions, educational materials and conferences, and leadership programs.
What We Do
Despite rapid growth and professional success, Ghanaian Americans have been underrepresented in shaping public policy, including elected office from state capitols to the U.S. Congress. As a result, our community often goes unrecognized in the halls of power.
