Empower the Ghanaian Diaspora

A nonpartisan 501(c)4 social welfare advocacy collective dedicated to civic action, policy influence, and diaspora power-building.

Who We Are

Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective

GHPAC · Ghana Diaspora PAC

Established in 2019, GHPAC is a United States-based nonprofit headquartered in Washington, D.C. We were founded by Ghanaian American Capitol Hill alum, policy, legal, and business professionals with significant experience in policymaking and longstanding reach in the Ghanaian community.

GHPAC operates two additional arms: the Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee, a registered 527 committee, and the Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF), a tax-deductible 501(c)3.

We were created to meet a growing need: a stronger, more organized voice for Ghanaians living abroad, especially in the United States. As our community grows in size, talent, and influence, GHPAC works to ensure that growth translates into real representation, stronger institutions, and meaningful impact.

Our model is intentionally cross-border. We support civic participation and public leadership in the United States while also engaging issues that affect diasporans' relationship to Ghana — including development, governance, trade, youth opportunity, and long-term diaspora inclusion.

GHPAC exists because our community deserves more than occasional recognition. We deserve infrastructure. We deserve influence. We deserve a seat at the table — and the power to build our own tables when needed.

Mission Snapshot

To advance civic influence, economic mobility, and global connectivity for Ghanaians across the diaspora through political engagement, policy advocacy, leadership development, and community investment.

Vision

A globally connected Ghanaian diaspora with the power, institutions, and leadership to shape a more equitable future in the United States, Ghana, and beyond.

Our Mission

Working
Collectively
as Ghanaians

Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective is a nonpartisan, nonprofit social welfare advocacy organization dedicated to working collectively as Ghanaians, people of Ghanaian descent, and friends of Ghana to encourage civic engagement and advance policy through research, education, and community building.

We organize, advocate, invest, and lead — so that the Ghanaian diaspora is recognized not just as a community, but as a political and economic force.

Strategic Approach

Three Entities. One Movement.

GHPAC coordinates through three entities to build power across civic life, policy, and community investment:

Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective (GHPAC)

The organizing and public engagement arm

Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee (GHPAC PAC)

The political and electoral arm

Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF)

The nonprofit and community investment arm

Together, these entities allow us to move beyond traditional advocacy and build a full-spectrum model for diaspora power.

Civic & Political Power

Politics · Mobilization

We organize and mobilize Ghanaian Americans to participate fully in the democratic process through voting, advocacy, public leadership, and candidate engagement.

Through the Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective, we build civic awareness, community engagement, and leadership pipelines. Through the Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee, we support candidates, engage in electoral strategy, and work to increase Ghanaian American representation in public office.

Together, these efforts create stronger pathways for diaspora voices to shape government and civic decision-making at every level.

Policy & Global Influence

Policy · Advocacy

GHPAC advances policy solutions that improve the lives of Ghanaians in the United States while strengthening U.S.–Ghana and U.S.–Africa relations.

Led by the Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective, our policy work spans immigration, economic opportunity, healthcare, education, small business development, housing, and diaspora engagement. We also engage Ghana-focused policy issues including development, governance, trade, and youth opportunity.

We position the Ghanaian diaspora not as a passive stakeholder, but as a strategic force in global policy, trade, and democratic participation.

Community Infrastructure & Investment

Foundation · FECF

Through the Forward Ever Collective Foundation (FECF), we invest in the long-term strength of the diaspora by building programs, institutions, and leadership pipelines.

This includes leadership development, educational programming, youth engagement, economic mobility initiatives, civic education, research, trade and exchange opportunities, and community-centered programs that create real pathways for advancement.

FECF ensures that GHPAC's vision is supported by durable infrastructure, not just short-term engagement.

Diaspora Identity & Cultural Power

Culture · Identity

We believe identity is also power.

Across all three entities, GHPAC strengthens a shared Ghanaian diaspora identity through language, culture, storytelling, and intergenerational community-building. From language programs to cultural experiences and global convenings, we create spaces that help people stay rooted in Ghana while rising in influence abroad.

This cultural foundation reinforces everything we do — because a connected diaspora is a powerful diaspora.

What We Do

Programs & Initiatives

Despite rapid growth and professional success, Ghanaian Americans have been underrepresented in shaping public policy. GHPAC works to change that — one program at a time.

Advocating for Ghanaians

Representing the interests of the Ghanaian diaspora at federal, state, and local levels through sustained advocacy campaigns.

Candidate Training & Support

Equipping Ghanaian American candidates with the tools, training, and resources needed to run competitive campaigns for elected office.

Voter Registration / GOTV

Driving civic participation through community-focused voter registration drives and get-out-the-vote mobilization efforts.

U.S.–Africa Trade & Investment

Facilitating connections between the Ghanaian diaspora and economic opportunities across the U.S.–Africa trade corridor.

Immigration Legal Support

Providing community members with access to immigration legal resources, guidance, and advocacy on policy reform.

Federal & Local Government Outreach

Working directly with government bodies at every level to ensure Ghanaian Americans are seen, heard, and represented.

Join the Movement

Organizing Smartly and Advocating Collectively. Engaging in the civic process and uniting over 5 million Ghanaians in the diaspora is critical to our prosperity.
