Chapter Networks
Advocating Collectively to Positively Impact
and Empower the Ghanaian Diaspora
Building Diaspora Power
in New York
New York is home to the largest Ghanaian diaspora community in the United States — and one of the most influential cities on earth. GHPAC is building a chapter here to organize that influence into civic power, policy access, and lasting community impact.
New York Is Where Ghanaian
Influence Meets Global Opportunity
For generations, New York has been one of the principal gateways of the Ghanaian experience in America. From the yellow taxi drivers who built new lives in the city, to the families who transformed Tracey Towers and the Grand Concourse into “Little Accra,” to thriving churches, businesses and professional networks across the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island, Ghanaians have helped shape the fabric of New York.
Today, New York is home to the United Nations, the world’s leading financial markets, major media institutions and one of the largest Ghanaian communities in the United States. Ghanaian New Yorkers are leading in finance, government, healthcare, technology, entrepreneurship, academia and the arts—but much of that influence remains disconnected.
GHPAC New York exists to connect and organize that influence into lasting civic, professional and economic power. This is not simply a local chapter. It is a strategic platform to strengthen Ghanaian leadership at the intersection of global affairs, business, public policy and community engagement.
Because when Ghanaians are organized in New York, our influence extends far beyond New York.
