GHPAC’s Bese Saka Business Guild will launch its new masterclass series on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with a practical session for diaspora entrepreneurs exploring how to establish and operate businesses in Ghana.

The inaugural masterclass, “Starting a Business in Ghana: What Diaspora Founders Need to Know Under the New Investment Law,” will be led by Ghana-based attorney Emmanuel Mate-Kole.

The session comes following significant changes to Ghana’s investment framework in 2026 and will move beyond theory to examine what the rules mean for real businesses.

Participants will work through three practical scenarios:

  • A diaspora founder establishing an operating company in Ghana.
  • A diaspora founder entering Ghana with a Ghana-based partner.
  • A company primarily engaged in importing or trading goods.

The discussion will cover entity registration versus investment registration, ownership structures and partner agreements, activities reserved for Ghanaians, requirements affecting foreign trading enterprises, annual investment-registration requirements, expatriate staffing and the first legal steps entrepreneurs should consider before making major commitments in Ghana.

The Bese Saka Business Guild is GHPAC’s platform for connecting diaspora entrepreneurs, investors and professionals to information, relationships and opportunities supporting sustainable economic engagement with Ghana.
