Following gatherings throughout 2026 and the September 21 Ghana House at UNGA convening, GHPAC is moving into the next phase of building a permanent GHPAC New York chapter.
The organization is now recruiting its inaugural group of 25 New York Charter Members.
New York occupies a unique place in Ghanaian American life. Ghanaian communities have established deep roots across the metropolitan region while the city itself sits at the intersection of global diplomacy, finance, media, entrepreneurship, culture and international affairs.
GHPAC New York is being built to connect those worlds.
The chapter will create opportunities for Ghanaian Americans to participate in public affairs, develop emerging leaders, strengthen professional and business networks and build stronger connections between community institutions and decision-makers.
Programming under development includes Ghana House at UNGA, Ghana House Conversations, Open Doors civic engagement programming, leadership development, member gatherings and partnerships with Ghanaian organizations across the metropolitan area.
Charter Members will form the chapter’s inaugural membership class and help establish the foundation for its long-term growth.
The goal is not simply to host more events in New York. It is to build durable Ghanaian American infrastructure.
