The Golden Symposium 2026: State of Ghanaian America will take place November 7–9, 2026, in Washington, D.C., bringing together Ghanaian Americans from across the country for three days focused on community, identity, civic participation, business, policy and the future of the diaspora.

The inaugural national gathering will examine where Ghanaian America stands today—and what institutions, relationships and strategies will be required for the next chapter.

Three days. One national agenda.

Saturday, November 7 — Community + Belonging
A day centered on identity, history, culture, community institutions and connection.

Sunday, November 8 — Civic + Business Forum
Conversations focused on civic participation, policy, entrepreneurship, investment and economic power, including preliminary findings from the State of Ghanaian America research initiative.

Monday, November 9 — Washington
A policy-focused day connecting Ghanaian American priorities with institutions and decision-makers.

The Symposium will also help advance a longer-term agenda that includes the State of Ghanaian America research initiative, stronger national and state networks, expanded diaspora economic engagement and deeper civic participation.
